Let’s get cookin’

The only thing more fulfilling than cooking itself is sharing what you've made. That's why we launched the Arthur's Cookbook Club! Together, members explore four cookbooks and come together to share what they've made, expanding their culinary horizons and social circles at the same time.

Now in its fourth year, we are thrilled to bring you another incredible quartet of books and parties!

$325 membership includes four cookbooks (details below) and four quarterly member parties (details below) hosted by Arthur's Market over the course of 2025. Member parties will feature unique experiences designed for each book, as well as a potluck meal of member-made dishes.

Membership enrollment is open through Friday, January 24th at 5:30PM. Book pick ups will begin on Saturday, January 25th at 4PM with our initial member meet-and-greet gathering.

This year, we are offering two sets of party dates:

Cookbook Details:

1. Start Here

Sohla El-Waylly’s debut cookbook won a James Beard Award, made the NYT’s best sellers list, and was named “Book of the Year” by the NYTs and many other publications. In Samin Nosrat’s words, “This is the book I wish someone had handed me when I began my own journey as a cook.”

Start Here is the first instructional book we’ve included in our Cookbook Club line up, and we’re really excited to kick the year off with it because we think you’ll find yourself referencing it all year long.

II. Cooking In Real Life

Lidey Heuck is a Hudson Valley-based cook, writer, and creator. Formerly, Ina Garten’s assistant, Lidey is now a regular contributor to the NYT’s cooking section.

This look caught our attention because we love Ina, and it kept our attention because like Ina Garten’s work, Lidey offers doable and delicious recipes for everyday cooking.

III. Tenderheart

Hetty Lui McKinnon is a Chinese/Australian author with a focus on plant-based cooking. She’s a regular contributor to the NYTs, Bon Appétit, Epicurious, Food52, Food & Wine, The Guardian, and beyond.

Her second book Tenderheart received James Beard and IACP awards. This vegetable focused book not only offers delicious flavors, it also offers Hetty’s personal story and reflection in its pages.

IV. AfriCali

Kiano Moju’s culinary identity draws on her Kenyan and Nigerian heritage, her upbringing in the melting pot of California, and her travels abroad.

Kiano turns readily available ingredients and pantry staples into flavorful weeknight meals and dinner party dishes.

AfriCali is not a traditional cookbook, but rather one inspired by the delicious meals Kiano has experienced in life. The recipes are unfussy but dedicated to flavor.
